The Orange Section invites YOU to join us at the Disneyland Resort for the 2014 State Conference! There is no better place to experience “California’s Adventures in Planning.” Learning, networking, adventure, inspiration…this conference has it all!
Saturday features an expanded free Student Program. Concurrently, there are three in-depth professional development training sessions on topics of great interest: Form-Based Codes & Urban Design; Real Estate Finance; and Management from the Ground Up, each offering 6.0 CM credits. This conference offers a new efficient format. The first of 90 conference sessions will start at 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning. That’s right Sunday MORNING. Followed by a full day of conference sessions and activities. Then, you won’t want to miss a once-in-a-lifetime Opening Reception inside Disney California Adventure Park on Sunday night. This event will be family friendly so feel free to invite friends, spouses and kids too. Conference sessions take place all day Monday, including a day-long track of legal sessions for attorneys, qualifying for MCLE credits. Then you can enjoy happy hour, mixing and mingling with our sponsors and exhibitors during the Consultants’ Reception and plan on bidding on items to support our student scholarship program during the CPF Scholarship Live Auction. To top off the evening, plan to join your colleagues at the Angels Baseball game Monday night! Finally,
Tuesday will be a day you won’t want to miss: a number of quality sessions with interesting speakers start the day, followed by the California Chapter Awards Brunch and surprise activities you will have to be present to experience, not to mention an outstanding closing plenary Ethics session.
This conference offers more than 18 CM credits from Sunday through Tuesday as well as 6 CM credits in the Professional Development optional trainings being offered on Saturday. These sessions are the very ones you would pay 500.00 for at the National Conference and we are bringing to you locally for an incredible value. You will want to get out and experience the area by taking advantage of 15 mobile workshops that will give you the chance to paddle, bike, explore and learn in Orange County.
In addition, the conference location – Disneyland® Resort! – is a wonderful family-friendly place and there is much to see and do! And, for conference registrants, discount tickets to the theme park will be available. To make the most of your trip, come a day early and explore the region (conference hotel rates apply Friday night!).
See you in Anaheim!
