Deputy Executive Officer

The LA LAFCO DEO is a full-time, at-will, management position reporting to the LAFCO Executive Officer. Provides project management; co-supervises staff; advises city, special district, and county representatives; interacts with outside attorneys, accountants, and consultants; prepares and reviews staff reports; makes presentations to LAFCO, public officials, and community groups. Minimum requirements: B.A. (Planning, Geography, Public Policy, Political Science, Public Administration, Business Administration); Four years experience at LAFCO, county, city, special district or other local government agency; familiarity with Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 2000 and CEQA.
