Environmental Planner/Assistant Project Manager

About the Job

We are seeking an environmental planner/assistance project manager to assist primarily with preparation of CEQA and NEPA documents and reports, conduct occasional site visits and manage small to medium sized projects. The individual chosen for this position will work collaboratively with Dudek’s environmental team in southern California on a wide variety of projects including water/wastewater, energy, infill development, commercial, residential and mixed-use projects. This position will be based in our San Juan Capistrano, CA office.

Duties and Responsibilities

Preparation of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Documentation, including Initial Studies, Mitigated Negative Declarations and Environment Impact Report sections
Tasks include research, data collection and technical writing
Project management including preparing schedules, budgets and assisting with marketing and proposals
Other duties as assigned
Education and Essential Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Planning or a related field
Master’s Degree is a plus
Minimum 5 years of experience in planning, environmental science or policy, or a related field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel software
Ability to travel regionally for business; reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
