Donate a Silent Auction Item for the Upcoming Awards Ceremony!

Community planners are passionate about placemaking and quality of life. They are working to create a
future in which Orange County has healthy, interesting, inviting, and sustainable natural and built
spaces. Many students who want to be a part of this profession take on significant debt and are in need
of financial assistance to ensure they can complete their education. The Orange Section of the American
Planning Association (OCAPA) is having a Silent Auction at their Awards Ceremony on May 24, 2017
to benefit the Bob Goldin Memorial Student Scholarship Program and California Planning Foundation
Scholarship Program.

OCAPA is looking for individual and corporate donors to make the Silent Auction a success. We need
your help to ensure young people who are drawn to community planning will be able to fund and
complete their education. The Silent Auction will take place at the OCAPA Awards Ceremony which
attracts well over 150 Orange County planners, officials, managers, and other local leaders. All donors
will be acknowledged at the Silent Auction/Awards Ceremony and in e-mails to over 400 OCAPA
members.

In 2016, OCAPA awarded over $6,000 in student scholarships. Please follow-up with me or contact
Jennifer Lilley at 714-990-7674 or jenniferl@cityofbrea.net by May 17, 2017 to coordinate pickup or
delivery of your donated auction item. Our Tax ID is available by request. All donations are welcome.
We need a variety of items and a wide range of values. Please do not hesitate to be creative.
The required donation form is attached. Thank you in advance for your generous contribution to
OCAPA’s Silent Auction to benefit the Bob Goldin Memorial Student Scholarship Program and
California Planning Foundation Scholarship Program.
