Administrative Intern (Planning Division)

The Administrative Intern is a training classification specifically designed to provide on-the-job training to current students in pursuit of an associate’s, bachelor’s, or advanced degree. The
employee performs administrative, technical, and/or professional duties in support of the assigned department, with actual duties dependent upon position assignment. Assignments are intended to both help the City meet its business objectives as well as provide the Administrative Intern with exposure to municipal government projects, programs, and processes. An employee in this classification works under direct supervision and performs increasingly responsible duties as experience is gained. Though the position is intended for current students, an incumbent may continue to be employed in this position for up to 12 months after graduation.
